Netball or Pool???

I've injured my ankle yet again!!! This is like the 4th time and next Saturday there is a church joggerthon which I have been looking forward to win...haha..not sure if I would though..but there was hope until now....sigh...all this because of my love for netball lah...hiyah! netball punya pasal...hahaha....but I love netball what to do...

The other dilemma is there is this Games coming up in August and I'm scared that if I join the netball team I would hurt my ankle even worst...sigh...so now I have another option and that is to play pool...so would it be netball or pool??? Hmmm...netball or pool??? Can't play both cause it clashes on the same day.

Hmmm...but than again, I'm not sure whether I'll get chosen or not...haha...probably I'm not even that good to play for both of them...haha...prasan nya aku :P

But if I do get chosen...that I won't know which to choose!!! Ahhhhh!!!! Additional stress to my life (small stress lah but stress nevertheless...haha :P)

Ok..that's it from me complaining. At the moment I should concentrate on getting this ankle better and preparing myself for the joggerthon...wish me luck guys!!! It's next Saturday!!! If I do win by some chance.....haha...who knows bah, suddenly everybody sakit and I'm the only one who turns up to run...haha...than I'll take picture of the hamper that I win....hopefully the hamper big big one lah...:D

Pool????

Or Netball??? Sigh....tough choice with my ankle being in this position :(

Ahhhhh!!!! DIGI!!!!

For goodness sake DIGI, could I please get the phone!!!! I've been trying like forever!!!

Now, for those of you who are not using the postpaid DIGI, let me explain what I'm complaining about.

You see, Digi postpaid goes on the points basis, whereby if you have 3000 point you are entitled to fight in the race to win a handphone, if you have 6000, the handphone is even nicer lah. The only problem is that, it is a first come first serve basis and they only have 10 handphones!!! Now, mind you, I've been trying this since August last year!!! and I still have won the phone. I have one friend who tried it once and got it straight away...so damn lucky lah. As for me, hiyah...me no have luck...every time like that wan....and that's the reason why I don't go and buy 4D, I know its a waster of my time and money!!!

Anyway, since yesterday I have been refreshing the Digi website over and over again just to make sure I don't miss out on the phone. You see, Digi is smart, they will decide what time and what day to put it out. Sometimes its 8am, sometimes its 10 am and sometimes its some other time....they are really unpredictable which makes my life even harder for me cause like I said I have no luck.

So yesterday, nothing happen....and today since I got into the office, I kept on refreshing my Digi website over and over again until finally at 11.30am i decided to stop cause I thought that they may very likely not put it up today and put it up tomorrow instead...well, so much for that!!! After lunch, when i got back at 12.30pm...guess what!!! I got on to the Digi website and to my utmost disappointment, it was there for 10 people to redeem!!! I have a feeling that I'm not one of the 10 people :( I have no idea what time it came up but like always I press the redeem button and wish that this time I'm lucky!!! I doubt it though...but who knows right.....sigh.....if not....try again next month lah!!! and hope that maybe next month they will have a Sony Ericsson phone instead!!!

Ahhhhhh.....can't you just give me the phone DIGI??? that's me letting out my frustration!!! :P Hahaha...than that won't be fair to the rest of the Digi customers!!! Maybe the next time round, I should take leave at the end of the month and just sit infront of my PC and do the refreshing over and over again....hahaha...that way sure guarantee I will win it wan...cause I won't be distracted with work!!! Hahaha...if I did that, I must be really desperate for a new free handphone....wah...I do sound so damn kedekut!!! :P Maybe I should just stick to my phone now cause it is one solid phone....my daughter has manage to drop it a million times and its still going strong!!! Hmmm...that's a thought....but it would be nice if I could get a free handphone....:D

Anyway, this is the picture of this months handphone which I probably did not win :(

This phone is redeemable if you have 3000 points...but you must be the first 10 to redeem.

This phone is redeemable if you have 6000 points but you must be the first 5 to redeem. Hmmm...maybe my 'Luck' is just waiting for me to get to 6000 points before it decides to strike...hahaha...see...me trying to justify my 'no luck'...hahaha...and trying to be optimistic at the same time :P

Anyway, have a good evening everyone!!! Btw, I do love the yellow man!!! :D That's just additional information...haha...not important to anyone! :P

Check out Mobile.Airasia.Com

Something new from Airasia :) Last day of booking is today :P

Now, a few days ago I found out that I was not entitled to go for one course which I had planned for since the beginning of this year. Reason being is that I was overqualified (or not qualified because I had too much working experience) for the course. Sadly, I wasn't told about it much earlier until a few days ago.

But because I thought I was going for the course, I had already booked a flight for my husband to go to KL with me during that time (the course is in KL...haha....sorry I'm stating the obvious....I do that sometimes, I also don't know why...haha). Obviously I manage to get him a pretty cheap ticket (the RM0 one from Airasia). So here I was upset and depress and thinking to myself, 'now, where can I find tickets to KL that are cheap at this time???' since I couldn't go for the course, I might as welll just go for a holiday.

So the normal thing that everybody would do is to check out "Airasia and MAS" and that's what I did. As of yesterday, the flight to KL in August was RM39.90...only the ticket lah....and I checked MAS and it was pretty expensive so that was out. So back into airasia website I went to, and I saw this "mobile.airasia.com", whereby the flight from KL to Miri was RM19.90. I had no clue what it was and not being a very smart person, I was clicking here and there trying to find out how to go about booking using my mobile phone.....so "duh" wan me. I thought it was like those sms thingy where you have to key in some words than send to 32***. Than it will ask you questions again and than you will reply again and it will ask you a question again and it goes on back and forth till you finally get the ticket.

Who would have thought (well, more like "how would I have known"...because I think everybody else would have guessed already how to go about using that 'mobile.airasia.com'...hahaha....sometimes I wonder how in the world did I manage to get a degree...haha...sad lah me :P) that I would have to go to my internet browser on my mobile to key in the site.

Anyway, after a few minutes of browsing and getting frustrated, I finally decided to just key in 'mobile.airasia.com' on to my internet explorer address bar on my computer (reason being, is that my handphone so damn slow when it comes to connecting on to the internet:)) and TA-DA!!! it was there!!! You should check it out!

It's very cute, small and very easy to use especially if you are using your mobile but they are missing features where you can pay for the check-in baggage for RM3, I wonder why? Maybe it was already tedious to have to wait for the next page to download everytime you fill in the information, but than again, since it was already quite tedious, no harm in just adding one more...hehe...that's what I think lah...probably not many people would agree with me:P and probably some of you are having a hard time understanding what I am writing in here...haha...yes, I'm getting a bit long winded....I better stop!!! :P. That way you don't have to scroll up and down too much cause I think it fits into your mobile screen....wait let me check it out on my phone first....hmmm...I think my phone very lousy wan...cannot even get on....sigh....that's what happens when you have an old model. Well, you can just check it out yourself. What I did was use my computer to go on...not sure whether that is legal...haha...since it was design for use on your handphone. Well, to conclude, I did the booking and I now am going to KL in August with a cheaper flight than I expected and more money to spend on shopping!!!. GOOD TIMING for me that they just started this "mobile booking" or have they had it a long time already and I have just been pretty ignorant??? Cannot be leh??? but 'Yeay' anyway!!!

KL here I come!!! Shopping, shopping and more shopping!!! Life is GOOD!!!

Again: here's the website: http://mobile.airasia.com/

Buggy/Kiddy Car...Why Miri Don't Have?

Why we don't have this in our malls ah??? Is it because our malls are too small and too crowded???

See the boy inside the car! So cute!!! Hahaha...he looks very much satisfied with his cute little Buggy...I know for sure my daughter would too!!! (That's my friend Kath's son)

At least they get to stay put and not disappear on you, especially now with all the kidnapping cases....very scary.

If it was bigger, I wouldn't mind going inside as well and let my husband push...hahaha....that way I don't have to walk...:P Actually, I'm pretty small already, maybe I can get in too!!! Than again, the security would probably make sure I get out if I did....:P

Anyway, isn't that boy cute!!! Maybe in the future I could match-make him to my daughter...hahaha...who knows??? :D Kesian the both of them!!! Belum lagik apa-apa already I want to match-make :P

Why do we LOOK UP when we THINK???

I was in a meeting just now and I realised that most of the time when we are thinking, we tend to look up. Why ah??? Have you ever thought about that??? hahaha...yes, it was quite obvious that my mind was not even in the meeting....haha...its Monday you can't blame me!!! I brain is still in sleep mode...:P

Maybe its because looking up has less distraction than looking at the person you are talking too. I know for sure that when I think, I tend to look up cause I can get very stressed out when I look at the person who is talking to me and asking me whatever question that caused me to think. So looking up gives me time to relax and really think. You think that is it???

Hahaha...who knows.....but looking up sure does help in the thinking process!!! :P

Oh yah! and due to looking up and thinking, please don't do that when you are walking...not very advisable :P. I've done that before and I almost knock into a person or trip over something...either way, it can be dangerous..:). Besides that. walking and thinking also makes you ignore people who are waving at you and trying to get your attention. Then after that, they will probably say you are sombong...hahaha...well, that happened to me for being so deep in thought, so don't think when your walking ok?...try to stay as focus as possible on your walking....

Have a good day you all!!! And continue looking up when you think!!! ;)

Seraphina in KL???

Just a short one today. I have yet to receive the pictures from the mini Olympic...but I sure did have a great fun. Sadly though that when i woke up this morning, the remembrance of the great fun I had was a distant thought to the aches in my body that I was facing. Especially my arms....aiyo!!! so painful and so lifeless....its a wonder I can still type...hahaha....

Anyway, that's not the topic for this blog, I'll put pictures up of the so called 'Mini Olympic' once I have them :D Ok, ok....back to my topic....

Now what I meant about Seraphina in KL is this!

This picture was taken by a friend of mine in the Curve in KL. She however has no idea what shop this was. Anybody have any idea??? Owner of the shop, of you are by any chance reading this blog, can you get me of the suspense and tell me what business your shop is into (I doubt though that you would have the time to read my blog, but than again, who knows :P)??? Cause the suspense is killing me and I'll only be able to go to KL in August...I'll probably die of suspense by than....hahaha....yes, I'm being a bit dramatic...hahaha...I'm sure I can make it till August if no one tells me by than...but again, it would be great if I could get an answer soon :P

Anyway, this was my friend's words to me when she emailed me the picture: "Can't remember whether was it a boutique or what, hehe. U go find out yourself when u go there la" Hahaha.....its strange how people can get so caught up with the name of a shop that they forget to find out what shop it was. She must have been so excited to take the picture so I was able to see...thanks babe! You are always so sweet!!! That was very thoughtful of you to take the picture :D. Now I'll have to go and hunt it down when i go to KL in August!!! :) And I'll remember to let you know what shop that is :)

Hmmm...you all must be wondering why on earth would I be so interested in the name of that shop, well, the reason is because of this!!! TA-DA!!!! Look at picture below:

And that's my little Seraphina!!! The spelling is exactly the same!!! How cool is that!!! But than again, I thought her name would have been so unique that not many people would even think about it. I guess I was wrong. Hmmm.....I guess that the Internet is to blame for this!!! :P

Anyway, just for additional information, not that you all would be interested at all, but hey, read on if you feel like it or stop if you don't...its really up to you....:D So here it is:

My daughters full name is Seraphina Jewel Supang Solomon....long leh! The reason why I gave her the name 'Seraphina Jewel' its because it means, "An intense love for the Holy Trinity from the Precious One". Of course when I chose that name, I wanted her to be just that and to have a great love for God. Hopefully with proper guidance and love, she will turn out to be a beautiful girl with a beautiful heart. I guess that's what all parents hope for.

Additional Info: The name Seraphina comes from the word Seraphim and they are angels who worship God continuously. Cool kan!!! Cool for me lah...maybe not for you all...haha...

Oklah....that's it from me....

It's the time of the month again where we get half day off in the afternoon to have a bonding session with our entire department. Ours today would be the Olympics. Probably jumping rope, climbing tyres, crawling under wires...well, who knows? :P But I think it'll be great fun. Anyway, just wanted you all to know what I'll be doing in about 15 minutes tims.

Got to stop writing now before I miss this event again, like I did last month...hahaha. A mental note, got to find the sun block! Will post pictures after its done!!! See you!!!!

Guys Left, Girls Right!!!

Did you ever realised that for the guys shirt, the buttons are always to the left (when you are facing the shirt) and for the girls shirt, the buttons are always to the right? I guess for those of you who are at work and are reading my blog at this time, you are most probably checking out where your buttons are just about now...hahaha...great, now that you've got it figured and know that your buttons are on the left (guy) or right (girls).

For those of you who are not wearing a shirt today, let me show you:

A guys shirt...notice the buttons are on the left of the shirt...

A girls/ladies shirt...notice the buttons are on the right....

Well, if you have noticed this before, have you ever wondered why it was like that??? Hahaha...I suppose for some of you its not really important to know as long as you can button your shirt...:P

But for those curious people out there, I'm guessing that If I don't tell you why now, You'll probably be very angry with me cause I've kept you in suspense.....its the kinda suspense where people say "Eh, Jacq, i want to tell you something.....", than I say "What? What?" and the other person says "Ahh...never mind lah...not important" and gives me a grin. Wah! that kind I cannot tahan...hahaha...if I don't find out, sure I die wan...hahaha...that's how kepo I am...:P

Anyway, to answer that question, its because hundreds of years ago, women were dressed by their slave/servant/handmaiden/lady-in-waiting. Men usually dressed themselves. So, that's why our buttons are on the right because it would be easier for the person who is dressing us to button our shirts for us. Unless of course the person dressing us is left handed than it would be a bit tough but the majority of people are usually right handed.

But nowadays, things have change and we do everything ourselves, but unfortunately the tradition of the buttons remain. So girls/ladies who are left handed, it's definitely much easier for you to button your own shirts compared to those who are right handed :D

So if you ever see a guy who is wearing a shirt with buttons on the right, you can confidently say "HEY! That's a girls Shirt!!!!"....I can foresee that guy blushing and smacking you on the head if you did that...haha...but if he's a close friend, he'll probably say "Shhhhshhhh...." than again he would probably say "Is it, how do you know this is a girls shirt???" or "Yakah! how come I didn't know!!!" Hmmm..actually come to think about it, there will be many kind of response depending on what kind of guy that person is :D. And this can happen vice versa as well! :)

So that's it from me today!!! TA!

To the Guy Who Commited Suicide...

May your soul rest in peace....Lord please forgive him for what he has done...Amen...

Does anyone think it could be murder? After reading about the guy on miricommunity, I'm beginning to think it could be so....though I do think that the police in Miri are not so experience to find out whether it was really murder or not. I think they would rather settle the case and say it was suicide....(which could be the case). Sayang we don't have CSI here....:)

You can check out the miri forum here: http://www.miricommunity.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12564

Anyway, my condolence to the family....

Hotel Fire Exits...Always Important To Know Where It Is!

I wonder whether any of you ever done this before??? I know for sure that I never really thought about it at all....till my boss mentioned it.....read on...

A few weeks back I was in a meeting and one of my boss mentioned that everytime he goes to a hotel, the first thing he will do when he gets into the room is look at the plan behind the door and look out for the emergency exit in case there is a fire. After he figures out where it is on the map, he actually goes out of his way to walk to that fire emergency exit.

He says the reason why he does this is because if there is really a fire in the hotel in the middle of the night at least he would be able to lead his whole family to the exit without any problem.

Can you imagine waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of a fire alarm. Your heart is racing and you just woke up. Your bearings are all over the place and I'm positive it will take you awhile to focus on the map behind your door to finally be able to find it. The other problem than, would be to actually get to it if you can find it. That would have taken a lot of your time already and your life maybe in danger.

Hahaha...I may be getting over excited and carried away about the whole situation but I think what my boss said is so true.

I know for sure that when I stay in a hotel, I do not have a clue where the fire exit is but one thing for sure is, the next time I do stay in a hotel I'll definitely look for it first and walk towards it before I do anything else. At least my family would be safe and I would be safe. Don't you all think?

Anyway, this is just something I wanted you all to be aware of. You have nothing to lose...right?

So, that's it from me....:D

A Loveless Marriage

(Something to ponder about, if you feel that you have fallen into this category...)

This morning I was going through my prayer book and I saw a little prayer which literally prays for a loveless marriage...so it got me thinking....

How does this happen? Why does it happen?

Its really sad to see a marriage become a loveless marriage. Its sad because we know that in the very beginning they were very much madly in love with each other.

Let me give you an example of a loveless marriage..(true example of a couple I have seen recently)

Husband has an affair with someone else, wife finds out and gets very angry (obviously). For the kids sake, the marriage continues. Wife tries to make it work, husband couldn't be bothered less about it, but for the kids sake, stays with the wife.

So the marriage continues, sometimes husband have breakfast with family, no conversation at all between husband and wife, only between the kids. After breakfast, husband just leaves the table without saying 'bye'. Wife takes the kids and go.

Isn't that just sad??? Can it be fix??? Should they get a divorce??? Well, if they are Christians, obviously not. So, how can they make it work??? Is it really a gone case???

I guess it really depends on whether the couple is willing to work it out or not. In most cases, they don't even try and that is the sad part.

The other thing is that, why do some people like to wreck a marriage??? If they know the man or the woman is married, why can't they leave them alone???

I really do think that couples who face this problem should have the courage to go for counselling and try to figure out what happen to make them fall into a loveless marriage. I'm sure if they try hard enough, somehow somewhere they would be able to find the love that had years before.

My marriage isn't all sunshine and sparks....I've been through hell with my husband but both of us are not willing to let the marriage fall into that category...so we work hard at keeping it together.

Unless of course your husband abuses you, than that is another story altogether....in that case...its better to get out of it or for him to get some serious help...

Life is never easy.....and that's a fact...you may think, I'm never going to forgive my husband/wife for cheating on me and I don't love him anymore anyway....and like I said, its really your decision on whether you are willing to work hard to fix your marriage or not....I know that most woman these days are very independent and have jobs of their own and may think that they don't deserve such a husband but think again....think about the kids...think about giving it a second chance before you do anything drastic. Divorce is just an easy way out....remember your marriage vows..."For better or for worse"....so don't quit on it cause you made a vow and a vow is something you shouldn't break....if not why bother with the vows in the first place....right???

To end this, I think the prayer I saw in my prayer book, is worth sharing (its a woman's prayer book):

Restoration for a Trouble Marriage

Lord, I know that you intended that the greatest, most rewarding human relationship in my life would be marriage. Help my husband ad I to resolve any differences that we have had. Rekindle in our hearts the love, joy, and passion we had for each other when we first married. Lord, heal our heart from the hurts of the past, and bring unity to our marriage.

Help us forgive each other for mistakes we have made and to start fresh again. help me to be loving, understanding, and sensitive toward my husband. Reveal to me areas where I need to change in order to improve our relationship. I kow you may be thinking, why should I change, my husband is the one with the problems, but the restoration to a troubled marriage needs to start somewhere and it would be nice if it could start with you. Be the sensible one and start first.

Remind us and help us to never criticise or speak in anger to each other. help us to put a guard over our mouths so that we never say words that bring hurt, pain, or discouragement to each other. Show us in your Word, Lord, how to love and give to each other. Let our lives be an example of Your love and grace.

Lord, restore our marriage completely and totally in Jesus' name. Amen!

P/S. May God Bless you marriage today and every other day...have a good weekend!!! :D

A "Ridiculous" Letter from a Student....

Today, I have nothing interesting to write about but I'm going to share with you a very interesting letter that was given to this college that I worked with a few years back. Those of you who knew me from multiply would have read it before so if you have, you can skip through this blog, but if you still feel like reading again, feel free to do so...

(Taken from my multiply...I might as well move it in here since I've basically abandoned my multiply. At least I'll still have it in the future to look back at....its more like a back-up, just in case anything happens to multiply :D...not that anything will lah!!!:))

Read on....

Subject: Are you sure?! From all Places, SPM Students

TO (College Vice Principals Name) For all information’s that student will fail exam because of cant full fill the exam paper requirement right?! If you know so, why setting the rule that, failed student should taking project and EXAM!? The problem is, Student are confirm cant pass the exam paper, so why failed student should taking the exam paper again? Are you all trying to get more salary for making student pay more?! or making fun of student?! After all, most of student are working, and there is no time for studying. The most problem is, failed student of course didn’t know how to do without lecture guides.... So how can be student will past these thing?! Are you SURE?! Giving project already are the hardest thing for failed student BUT now PLUS need to EXAM... Why must EXAM? why not only project? You afraid student will give another people to help them to do the project? What you care this! (College Name) Students pay your salary for get them pass and graduate BUT not for making student keep spending money... If they do, calling another people for help in their project, that isn’t your problem, ur job is just ticking the answer is right or wrong...better than summit nothing... The MAIN thing is, student summit their project on the times, full fill the graduation requirement.. and get pass, that’s all... Why must EXAM? You are wasting student time only by making they fail and get back to (College Name)...If like that, why they not just go to Curtin... SO THATS WHY THE INTAKE OF (College Name) STUDENTS THIS YEAR DECREASING... AND WILL BE DECREASING FOR THE NEXT INTAKE... WE ARE SORRY FOR THIS THING HAPPENING BUT WE ARE NO CHOICE... This news already spreading to Limbang, Brunei, Lawas, Sarikei, Sabah, Kuching, Sibu, and Labuan for helping all the student making the right decision before they spending in (College Name) Miri. Student will study in (College Name) because of the college requirements are not so high and the rules. Because of this kind of rule, all students or teenagers that are not a great in study must taking a great caution on this... For (College Name) good, heavily advise please set it to normal this kind of rule starting this month MArch 2005 for continuing decreasing student for the future intake... If don’t want to see (College Name) closing... From All Places, SPM students.

Note that I have censored the College Name by replacing it with (College Name).

Ummm.....my apologies to the person who wrote this letter for posting it up in my blog. I can't help it the letter has now become your legacy. Anyway, I do hope you have now somehow manage to get a diploma or a degree and I do hope it is a valid one...BTW, I did think the letter was a bit ridiculous and pretty difficult to understand. Honestly speaking, if you want a diploma or a degree you seriously need to work hard for it, nothing comes easy in this world. I do however hope that everything has worked out well for you :) You are after all one of my student before :)

Now back to the readers of my blog....so what do you think??? When I first read it I was upset cause it makes me sad to think that our future generation are capable of writing such thing. Its also sad to think that they are not willing to strive hard enough in order to get a diploma. But now when I read it, I can't help it but find it really funny...:D

Anyway, its getting late....time to sleep...goodnight you all!!!

I love AirAsia!!!

I still can't sleep, so I'm writing another blog again...

Why do "I love AirAsia" you may ask??? Because I'm going to KK in September!!! And I only paid RM100 return ticket (Miri to KK and back)!!! RM100!!! Can you believe it??? RM100!!! Hahaha....yes I'm overly excited about it cause I could get 3 tickets for RM300 without having to burst our family budget!!! (Note: AirAsia is having their MegaSale...booking period: 10 - 22 June 2008, flying period: 1 July - 25 Sept 2008)

And we get to have a nice family weekend together in a beautiful place!!! This means I get to check out the new mall called "1Borneo"!!! Heard its huge!!! I better not have such high expectations of the new mall, just in case I get disappointed...:).

Anyway, this will be our first family trip together and it will also be the first time my daughter gets on a plane so I can't wait to see how excited she gets!!! I'm just afraid that her ears will hurt. Any suggestions on how to make sure that doesn't happen???

What makes this even more exciting is that another family (good friends of me and my hubby who has two kids) are also coming along!!! So, I think it'll be just great!!! I think my daughter is going to love it!!! I think it will be the first family trip to cherish...I'm definitely taking heaps and heaps of pictures!!! Its still months away but at least for now I have something to look forward too!!!

By the way, is there a nice hotel we could book that is reasonably priced???

At the moment, we have Radius International Hotel in mind...the price seems reasonable and since it is still new I think it will be nice....though I heard the rooms are small. On its website it actually looks really nice and classy but than again the phrase "never judge a book by its cover" always comes to mind. It even invented a new word to describe its hotel and the word is BOUTECH, interesting eh??? BOU for Boutique and TECH for Technology. So I guess what they are trying to say is that the hotel is comfortable and classy and at the same time very equiped with good technology. Not a bad way to describe the hotel at all!!! Very creative!!! Now I'm just hoping that its exactly what it says :D, it would be great if it is cause its reasonably cheap for a hotel in the city! Feel free to check out their website: http://www.radius-waterfrontkk.com/

BUT, if you do know of any other hotel that I should consider as well, do let me know!!!

To end this, let me just say this one more time, "I love AirAsia!!!" I mean, what would we all do without you!!! We will probably be Home-Bound if you never came along to compete in the Malaysian Airline Industry!!! And mind you, they have gone GREEN or more like they have always been GREEN, its just that we all never realised it!!! I mean seriously, I didn't, till I went to click on their "Red Heart, Green Mind" Banner. You can click on this link to be directed directly to it: http://www.airasia.com/amazing/en/evm_index.htm. Check it out, they actually have a point in everything that they do!!! Anyway Thanks again AirAsia!!! :D

P/S. Just FYI, the last time I flew back from KK which was in May (remember? I went to KK to play netball), we came back in a new AirAsia plane!!! It was just beautiful!!! The air-con was on full blast and you could see the cold air coming out of the air-con!!! It was definitely a welcome sight!!! Never knew an AirAsia plane could look so welcoming!!! Unlike the one I went in on the way to KK. Lets me just hope that the plane I'll be going in too KK and back in September will be that new plane :D. AirAsia, Keep up the GOOD WORK!!!

Ok! I really need to sleep!!! Whether or not I can....I guess I might just have to start counting sheep's!!! GOODNIGHT!!! And thanks for putting up with all my blogs!!! Love ya!!! and GOD BLESS!!!

I'm Tired but I Can't Sleep!!!

First of all, my apologies to those of you who comes back to my blog daily only to find nothing new written in the last few days. Wanted to blog yesterday but I had a Cold and a Fever, so all I wanted to do is just sleep. Manage to wake up this morning to get to work but I still felt miserable (I dressed for work just as miserable). Somewhere through the afternoon I kinda felt better but was not up for any kinda exercise today. Well, what I'm trying to say is that, I'm feeling better but I do think I need the sleep.

My eyes are droopy now but my mind is so awake. I tried sleeping just now but all I could do was toss and turn. You know how that is??? Its horrible!!! The little girl and the hubby are already sound asleep. And since I can't sleep due to my 'oh so active mind', I'm here now writing my blog! I mean what else can you do to inactivate your mind???? I reckon (don't ask me why I'm suddenly using this word!!! I think my mind is so jumbled up at this point of time)blogging is the medication for it. Don't you all think???

Anyway, here is what I will blog about for now. Last Friday, I was out with some friends and we went to "The Other Office" AKA "TOO" (its in Miri). They have actually moved from their old place to their new place where their old restaurant use to be and everything inside is exactly the same except that it is the other way around, like a mirror image to the old one. Well, if you don't get what I am saying you could go there yourself and check it out....but than again if you have never ever been to the old one in the first place than you wouldn't even know what I'm talking about, hahaha.

So, there I was sitting there waiting for more friends to come and when I wait for people I usually have a lot of time to think. So I thought to myself....how in the world did the owner of this bar actually come up with the name "The Other Office"??? I mean I think its a brilliant name!!! Don't you think???

Let say this happens: (phone conversation)

(Hubby calls wife from work)

*Ring Ring* ..... *Ring Ring*

(Wife picks up phone)

Hubby: Honey! I'll be back late today, I'm going to "The Other Office"

Wife: Ok honey! Don't work to hard alright!!! (thinking to herself: wah! my husband must be a very popular man in his office to actually have two offices!!!)

See what I mean!!! Its a brilliant idea for a bar name!!! Please note that the above scenario can happen vice-versa between the wife and the husband :). I'm not being sexist in any way here, ok...:D

Anyway, sorry you had to read so much crap. You can't blame me for it cause I'm tired and I can't sleep!!! I think I'll add a picture in here just to add some colour :D. Give me a sec....

Here it is....

Us in "The Other Office"..following the newspaper style, lets start from left to right...

we have the ever so lovable Christine, ME trying to make sure I had the perfect smile (i think that turn out quite well!!! :P), Larni, the one who we always wait for (haha...don't take it to heart Larni, we all love you, you know that!) and Corina, the beautiful lady who is going to start a beginners class for Pilates!!! (How cool is that!!!, I can't wait for her to start!!!).

If you have no idea what Pilates is, just Google it :D.

Ahhhh!!! Kelisa Full Tank RM70!!!

Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! (me screaming hysterically)

So, this is how i was yesterday when I went to the Petrol station. Like I said in my other blog, I might very likely regret not joining in the queue to fill up fuel for my car last Wednesday. AND YES!!! I regretted it so much yesterday when I went to the Petrol Station. This is what happen..

I reach the petrol station and there I was wanting to fill my small kelisa tank to full...now before that happen, I had a short conversation with the attendant and we were speaking in Bhs Swrk. (translating into English):

Me: So, not many cars filling petrol today huh?

Attendant: Yeah, unlike yesterday it was crazy!!!

Me: Yeah, I heard!!!

So, there I was filling my fuel into my car...the price kept going up...

RM55 Dielah! Its not even stopping there!!!

RM60 WHY! WHY! Why didn't I go fill up my tank yesterday!!!

RM65 That's it!!! We are all going to DIE!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!! This is not happening!!!!

RM70 S***! I could have save RM20 if I filled it up yesterday!!! RM20 is 4 days of LUNCH!!! WHY JACQ! WHY!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN SO LAZY!!! Breathe Jacq, Breathe Jacq...its going to be ok...Tutu died already, we can save on dog food and that can go to the FUEL!!!

Of course I'm sad that my dog died!!! But I always think God has a reason for everything to happen! Dog dies, fuel price increase the day before, me have more money to spend on Fuel!

Sigh...I better go get myself a bicycle so I can cycle to work....good for my health (not good for my colleagues...hahaha....cause I might stink in the office cause there are no place to shower in my office, than again they might sink too cause they have the same idea as I do!!!), good for the environment!!! and good for my POCKET!!! How, I wish my babysitter was not staying in Pink Fook!!! So far away from Pujut!!!

I guess we all just have to face reality and tighten our belts a bit more!!! I think that wouldn't be a problem if I said that literally cause we are all definitely going to eat less rice due to the 100% increase in price to it!!! So less rice = slimmer people = can tighten the belt more...hahaha. Of course that phrase is not meant to be use literally!!!

That's it from me!!!

One of my Dog Just Died *Sniff* *Sniff*

*Sniff**sniff*...one of my dog just died a few minutes ago and her name was TUTU. I guess sooner or later she would go anyway. She was already really sick. We got the doctor to come a few times already but everytime she seem to get better for awhile and than she falls sick again. I swear we have some kind of plant in our garden that is poisonous to dogs. And she likes to eat all this plants, I don't know why. Unlike my other dog name Girlie.

Well, she's been with us over 10 years already :(. This morning it sounded like she was really in pain (my other dog Girlie has a heart of Gold, she was sitting next to Tutu this morning before she died...makes it even sadder doesn't it, poor Girlie, now she has no more friend to play with) and I think she was waiting for my mom to say Goodbye to her because as soon as my mom said "Goodbye Tutu, I love you" she wagged her tail and soon after died. I on the other hand did not want to go see her cause I know I would have broken down and cried. I'm so hopeless when it comes to things like this. You may think its really mean of me, but I've seen one of my other dog die last time and I relly broke down. So, this time I stayed away...but I saw her just now (dead already) and I still broke down and cry :(

I feel so bad that I didn't say Bye to her but I just couldn't...sigh....I should have shouldn't I??? Sigh.... :(

No Jogging! Raining bah! So, Hellloooo...KUEH CHAP!!!

Sigh...so much for wanting to go jogging this morning. Woke up and it was raining so decided to sleep awhile longer...woke up again and it was still raining....so I said to myself "there goes my jog!".

I think its rain because everybody is feeling rather down with the fuel price increase....it fits into everybodys mood I suppose...sad sad....oh well, whether we like it or not, life goes on....

So, here I am now with nothing to do. Am thinking of going to have Kueh Chap!!! Yummy!!! And the best Kueh Chap I've tasted in Miri is the one near the Police Station in Miri. Its one of those shop lots at the side of the police station. To be more specific, it is next to the Music Shop. Don't ask me the name of the music shop neither can you ask me what the name of the Shop that sales the Kueh Chap....hahaha...I have a very bad habit of going into food shops and not bothering to look at the sign board. Sorry! But the Kueh Chap there is damn GOOD!!! But its pretty far from where I stay and since the fuel price have increase, I'll opt for the second best Kueh Chap in town....and that is in HOPOH...that place I know cause its been there like forever!!!

Signing of for now, for the love of FOOD!!! TA!

P/S. I hope I didn't offend any Muslims who are reading my blog. My apologies if I did!!!

This is what happens when you have CHILDREN!!!

Today after going for lunch at my friend's place (Karen, if you are reading this, the food was yummy, especially loved the Curry!!!...thanks for inviting me to your Gawai Open house...love you babe!!!), I decided to go SHOPPING!!! Well, my main purpose was to find myself a nice pair of flat shoes that i can use for work. Sadly to say, I didn't achieve my goal...hahaha.....instead this is what I bought!!!

(unfortunately I couldn't post the pictures up as the card reader that I have does not want to work....so sad...*sniff**sniff*...will go buy one tomorrow!!! Another shopping list for me and my shoes that i have yet to get :P...well, tomorrow still is a holiday...YAHOO!!!)

  • 5 cute little t-shirts
  • 1 cute little dress
  • 2 pairs of very cute shoes
  • 1 cute little denim shorts

Now, you must thinking "Hey, you said you didn't get shoes??? But I see two pairs on your list of things that you bought!!!"

Oh....how I wish they were mine!!! Unfortunately, they are for my daughter!!! You see how it is when you have children....you tend to buy things for them and forget to buy things for yourself. Right Moms???

Its a wonder I have working clothes that dates back to 1997!!! Hahaha....but HONESTLY, I left for the malls this afternoon with every intention to buy myself a pair of shoes but I get so carried away when I get to the kids department (not sure how I got there....hahaha....I think its a magnetic pull for all mothers out there...hahaha...you think???) and saw 70% discount!!! I mean how can you resist that. I got her t-shirts for about RM5 each!!! That's a serious bargain you know!!! So that's what basically happen today!!! :)

I have no regrets...haha...she does need new t-shirts anyway cause the ones she has now are pretty dirty already...and as for shoes....well she did need a new pair of church shoes and I just couldn't resist getting another pair which looked so COOL!!! So, at the end of it all it was a satisfying day....ummm.....except of course for the price increase on Petrol that will happen at 12 midnight tonight....so sad :(

My friend "Corie" actually gave me a call just now and this was how the conversation was like:

Corie said: "Jacq, do you have any idea where I can get a chicken and a cow from? I need to rear it behind my house, everything is becoming too expensive these days!!"

ME (in shock) thinking: Wah! steady lah this Corie....very economical...I wonder how she is going to handle the cow!!! Obviously I wasn't worried about the chicken at all.

ME pretending to be cool and saying: "I don't know lah dear but I have a friend name ...... and she rears chickens, I could give my her a call and check with her"

Corie said: "I'm just kidding lah....hahaha"

ME thinking: Aiyo JACQ!!! What is wrong with you, why you so DUHHHH one!!!

It Must be the idea of having the petrol price increase that is blocking my thinking...hahaha...we of course talked longer than that but whatever was said after that is not important to you all :P...haha...can't tell you everything can I??? Then I won't have any private life left!!! :P

Anyway, My In-Laws also went to fill up petrol for the car and they told us that the queue was crazy!!! Hahaha....I bet most of you from http://www.miricommunity.net/ were probably in that line...right? Come to think about it, some of you could still be in that line just about now as I am blogging. Hope you all brought a book to read or something like that :) I on the other hand decided not to join the queue....I might very likely regret it tomorrow!!!

Ok, that's it from me tonight...going to wake up early for my morning jog tomorrow since I'm still on a holiday!!! :P GOODNIGHT!!!

Signing off with a picture of my daughter last Christmas!!! Ohhhh....isn't she just adorable!!!

My Love for Jogging!!!

I love FOOD!!! FOOD is my life!!! I go jogging also for FOOD!!! Cause I want to eat whatever I want, and therefore I need to burn it in order to eat more!!! That's why I still am able to remain the same size even though I eat a lot :P I went jogging early this morning cause I'm going to a friends house for Lunch later!!! :P

You may be wondering why on earth is this girl talking about jogging??? Well, my dad died of a heart attack....and besides some of his bad habits of smoking and drinking, I think he just did not have enough exercise. It would have been wonderful if he was still alive today. So, do bare with me, as I think this advice will help many of you to live a longer life. Don't you all want to? For your family? For your children? For whoever that loves you??? Well, here I go...

I think among all the sports out there, jogging is one of the safest (low chances of injuring yourself) and the cheapest. I can honestly tell you that jogging helps maintain your weight and all you need to do is jog 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes. Its easy!!! Bring a friend and make a commitment with her/him...it makes it even easier to jog...or bring an MP3 with music you love...30 minutes will fly by! Don't try to be superman and start off in full speed. Start slow. You can jog and walk and jog again. Take it at your own speed. Eventually it gets easier to jog longer.

Do take note that when you first start, you will start aching here and there. That's just your muscles adjusting to exercise. It may hurt a few days but one day you'll realise, after doing 6 or 7 rounds, that it just doesn't hurt anymore. The best part to that is, you have nice lean legs with muscles that you can show off ;) (this applies to the girls only :P but guys if you want to have lean legs as well, by all means, however you guys have hormones which gets you to build muscles..but they will definitely look nice on you *wink*...I mean it is better to have nice muscular legs than long lean legs for guys...right??? Girls, agree???). Now girls, its ridiculous if you think that by going jogging you will have bulky muscular legs. In reality, that just does not happen, (unless you go on protein shake and steroids I suppose) girls do not build muscle easily because we do not have the same hormones as guys! Jogging actually gives us slimmer solid legs....seriously! I'm not kidding!!!

Now, why you think I would recommend jogging...well...this is why...

  • It keeps you fit it does, it seriously does, you will feel less tired and have more energy....seriously!!! Plus, the fact that you probably could have more stamina for some night action ;) this applies to married people only...hahaha :P
  • It lets you eat and maintains your weight Yeah it does!!! I can eat and eat and eat and I'm still the same size as I use to be. I don't even have to worry about dieting....isn't that wonderful??? Of course make sure you eat healthy also lah...don't just eat fatty stuff all the time.
  • Its also a very good stress relief so true!!! Last week was a very stressful week for me, if I didn't go jogging, I wouldn't know how else to lose that stress...and if I couldn't do so, I would have become depress...not a very good thing to happen.
  • It also releases natural endorphins which enhances your mood and fights depression Again, so true, cause when I am stressed out, after I go for a jog, I actually feel happier....isn't it amazing how your body can actually produce natural medication to help release stress and depression. I mean God figured everything out first before he made us. Its really amazing. SO, try jogging if you are feeling depress, it works wonders for me over the years...I'm serious!!!
  • It fights aging and disease Hell yeah! I still feel young...hahaha...probably that's because I still am..but I am reaching 30 in a years time...so not so young anymore. But, if you saw me, you would still think I'm in my 20's....hahaha...prasan nya aku :P
  • It prevents muscle and bone loss definitely something for us who are not getting any younger anymore...don't you think??? That's why its good to start young.
  • Obviously its great for maintaining and improving your health and boosting your immune system people are dying younger these days, its really scary....we have all sorts of deceases and one of them is cancer....now, if you don't have a strong immune system, the cancer cells are able to grow...that is why one of the most important things in life is to exercise....and of course you need to make sure you eat right and take supplements as well.
  • It increases your metabolism rate Now, if you all notice as we grow older, our metabolism rate seems to slow down and when than happens we tend to put on weight easier and faster. Now, to stop that from happening...you need to jog at least 3 times a week. Somehow by doing so, your metabolism rate increases.

So, what I'm trying to say is, don't sit around and stare at your computer the whole day...do something that is beneficial to your body! You only have one, remember that!!! And God gave it to you to take care of it!!! Just remember...START SLOW!!! For those of you who are older, I would recommend Brisk Walking! START TODAY, don't procrastinate.....stop being a couch potatoand be consistent when you start...cause once you stop its very hard to get back on track. And don't you dare say "It's too late for me to start exercising". NO SUCH THING!!!

TO conclude hahaha...sounds like I'm writing an essay You could Add 4 Years to your Life just by Exercising. And check out this website which say so:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/14/AR2005111401051.html

That's me, with one of my headphones in my hand as I was passing buy one my ex-colleague to talk, but obviously they rather take a picture of me instead...so that's my fast reflex...hands up!!! :)

Ghosts???

Sorry guys for not being able to write this pass few days. Wanted to write yesterday but my blog just wouldn't open and it kept giving me and error. It was so irriating...

Anyway, back to my topic. Are there such a thing as ghosts? Do you all believe in Ghosts??? Well I do, that's for sure. There was this one time when I was driving with my husband in the car, and I saw this black thingy just flew past my car and I swerved a bit cause I terkejut bah. I mean who wouldn't? Its like seeing a dog infront of you all of a sudden. Now where did I see this? I saw this near Pottery aka Ng Sian Hap (in Miri) at around 11pm. I was sure freaked out! That was a few years back.

Now, there is also this one house in Pujut 9 which I heard is seriosuly haunted. This I heard from a reliable source. A few years back I heard that the furnitures in the house could move by itself and the pictures on the wall had eyes that could move!!! How scary is that!!! Now this house is still vacated...I heard that someone manage to sale it but apparently no one has moved in at all. Now if you are coming from Lutong going down to Miri, after the Lutong Bridge, you will notice that there is a house on your left that is yellow in colour. A few months back someone grew some dragon fruit trees there but lately I've noticed that it is gone (I guess that there is a new owner there). I've also noticed that the door now is always open. One of my friend told me that she almost wanted to buy the house cause she said for the price they were selling, it was so cheap cause the land is prety big. What she found weird was, that the person who wanted to sale the house to her told her to go and check it out herself and that the door is already open. So strange isn't it??? Well, good thing she heard from someone else that the house was haunted too and she did check with me about it as well.

Its scary isn't it these days when we are thinking of buying a house...we got to really be carefully that we don't wrongly buy a house right??? Well, (I know I've been using a lot of 'well' in this blog today..hehehe...but just bare with me) there is this one friend of a friend from church who knew that there was one house in pujut that was haunted. They were selling cheap so he decided, why not? He bought the house, got the priest to come over and exorcised the house and now he is living in that house with no problems!!! But for the yellow house, no one has yet been able to actually stay there since the last owners moved....its either that the other buyers are not very strong in their faith or those Gin's (not sure if I spelt that right!) in there are one hell of a stubborn spirits!!! Well, either way, I for one will not ever go into that house...I'm just hopeless when it comes to spirits or ghosts or whatever it is.

Despite that, I enjoy watching "Ghost Hunters" on channel 711 on wednesday nights at 10pm I think (there was a bit of change in the astro schedule due to the completion of the American Idol). Anyway, they are a group of people who actually go out of their way to visit haunted places to find out whether that place is really haunted or not. What I like about them is that before they jump to conclusion and say the place is haunted, they will usually go out of their way to check first whether what they see is really a spirit or some other things that may cause them to see it that way.

I guess it doesn't frighten me just as much cause its in the TV and not where I am. Well, if you haven't see it, you can check out the video below. If you go to their site I think you can all here the sounds of the spirits. Very interesting indeed. I do however believe that if they do come to Asia, they would probably be terrified with the spirits they find. Don't you think???? Anyway, please enjoy the clip below: (it's not that scary :))

Cool huh? Well, spirits/ghosts are real, that's for sure. Just like there are Good and Bad in this world!!! Have a good day guys!
