Wedding Ring on the 4th Finger???

Hello people!!! It's a wonderful day today because it's FRIDAY!!! Yahoooooo!!!! Two more days and I am off to KL to do all the wonderful things that I have plan to do!!! Hmmm...I better write them down and put them in my wallet so I can look at it and cancel off the things that I have done..."YES, indeed, that's a FANTASTIC IDEA JACQIE!!!" Yalah, have to puji myself once in awhile cause nobody puji me bah....:P

Anyway, back to the topic of today. Have you ever wondered why we wear our wedding band on the 4th finger??? Some of you would probably know already cause I remembered quite awhile back, someone forwarded me and email regarding it. Today however, I received another email of the same kind but in a video format!!! How fantastic is that!!! You can even follow along and try it out!!! :D

Here it is....

It's a good video kan!!! And the idea behind it says a lot about how a marriage should be, and that is "Till Death Do Us Part!!!". Agree??? Disagree??? Well, it's debatable...but for me, totally agree!!! Why get married if you are not willing to go the distance with the good and the bad of your other half...true??? Unless of course, your other half abuses you lah...than like I said in my previous blog a few months back, it's another story altogether.

Think many times before you get married and face the facts that there will definitely be bad times in a marriage....but it can always be worked out if you really want it to by both parties and not by one only lah...there is a saying that goes something like this, you cannot clap with one hand alone, you must use two, than there is sound.....something like that lah....hahaha...the English also sounds terrible in that sentence....Manglish (Malaysian English:P) lah konon!!! Anyway, I think its a Malay phrase...anyone know how the phrase goes in Malay???.....I'm so crap lah when it comes to phrases....hmmm...maybe I can think of another one...wait ah...give me a moment to think.....Aha!!! here it is "It takes two to tango!!!"...meaning that "You are not the only one in the marriage, there are two of you" and if you want it to work, both of you have to work at it!!!

Ok, ok better stop, I'm beginning to sound as if I'm giving a lecture!!! See! This is what happens when you have been lecturing in a college for 3 years!!! You tend to get carried away with yourself when you start talking!!! :P

Well, that's it from me!!! TA!!!

The Praying Actress!!! *Wink*

After writing a depressing blog, I've decided to cheer myself up by looking at this video clip of my little girl....instead of cheering me up, it made me feel so bad for getting upset with her last night...I guess I just have to sayang-sayang her tonight....:D. Anyway, presenting my little hyper active sweetheart.....SERAPHINA!!!

This was taken last Saturday at my Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law's wedding anniversary which was held in Kok Chee Restaurant. My daughter, like I've mention before, is one very hyperactive child. During that night, she couldn't even sit still....and she is one "Attention Seeker!!!" Run here and run there....by the end of the night she was fully exhausted and fell asleep in the car.... :D

And this is just an additional picture during that night of me, Seraphina, Aunty Supang, and the one and only Arthur Akal!!!

For your info...Arthur was wearing the pants that cost RM990 that night!!! Hmmm...not sure whether any of you wanted to know that or not....hahaha...I also don't know why I had to mention it!!! I guess I just can't believe how a pants can cost that much!!! I could have bought 10 pair of pants with that amount of money :P Jangan marah ye Arthur...:D

Hope you all enjoyed the video!!! TA!!!

Sleepless Morning.....Feel Terrible...

So kesian my daughter early this morning, she woke up at around 3am I think and she started to toss and turn and cry than she would fall back to sleep and a few minutes later would do the same, all the way until 5am. By then, I was exhausted and irritated, so asked her "What is wrong with you?" and she started to cry.....but me being a horrible mum and obviously irritated already, ask her again "What is wrong with you????"

And she finally told me her bum bum painful....poor girl :( ....so I said "Come, take out your pampers", so I help her out of it and wanted to put her pants on again but she didn't want to...so I thought she wanted to sleep without her pants. At that point of time (me being very tired) would let her do just that. So I told her "If you want to she-she, you tell me, OK? Do you want to she-she???", I said that because when I took her pampers off, it was not wet at all. Than she nodded and scramble of the bed, so I followed her and I switch on the toilet light for her....and when she sat on her potty she peed...banyak lagik tu!!! So kesian!!! Apparently she was holding it in all this time, that's why she couldn't sleep! So I told her there and than, "Next time you want to she-she, you tell mommy ok?" and gave her a kiss on her forehead...cause I felt really bad for getting irritated with her when all she wanted to do was pee. :( I guess she just doesn't like pee-ing in her pampers anymore....

After that she went back into bed and slept very soundly. I even had to carry her into the car this morning for my hubby to send her to the babysitter. So kesian kan! Sigh...sometimes I wish I could read into my daughters head...so I don't get irritated with her unnecessarily...makes me feel like a terrible mom...don't you think?

Ok, that's it from me...

How to Potty Train Your Child Without Having to Potty Train!!! Bubek???

How to potty train without having to potty train??? THE ANSWER IS....*drum roll*...teretereteretereteretereteretere.........TA_DA!!! JUST LET THEM DO IT THEMSELVES!!! Either than that, make sure she sees a little girl she likes going potty. If your child is anything like mine.....drum roll again please...teretereteretereteretere....TA-DA!!!...you got a potty trained child without even having to potty train!!! *CLAP HANDS ENTHUSIASTICALLY* Just like MAGIC!!! Here's the story.....

So, in my last blog I wrote in one of my goals that I would potty trained my daughter by the end of this year (well, that's not exactly what I said lah, but it is along those lines). I wrote that last Saturday morning...and guess what!!!!

Surprise, Surprise!!! That afternoon when she got home from the babysitter, she didn't want to use her pampers anymore!!! And she just wanted to use the potty!!! Isn't that fantastic!!! Ohhhhhhh....I so love my daughter!!! I'm thinking its because she saw this girl Ashley (4 years old) that she liked the other day using the toilet to pee and i thnk that made her decide to just do that it as well!!! My daughter is like that one.....very the copy cat! But I think that's a really good thing in this sense....don't you all think. I mean I didn't have to go through the hassle of training her...hahaha....THANK GOD!!! Sigh....this just proves that I am one lazy person...haha...kesian my daughter...:).

Anyway, the other day she wanted to pee but she forgot to tell me that she wanted to pee, so she had kinda peed a bit in her shorts than she told me "Mummy! Bau!!!". Somehow, she manage to hold it back in and we both ran to toilet!!! Haha...and thank goodness she didn't wet the floor!!!

And than on Sunday we were all sitting in the living room while she was entertaining herself and she kept saying "Sera Kentut!"and gives me that cheeky face...hmmm...and I said "Eeeee....Bau" and gave her a smile back, than suddenly she gave me that face that she wanted to Bubek (Bubek in Kelabit means doing the number 2!!!)...and I look at her straight in the eyes and asked her "Sera, want to Bubek???" in a higher than normal tone...haha...cause I was so worried she would Bubek there and than, and without her pampers on!!! This would mean that it would fall on the carpet and I would have to clean it up!!! AIYO!!! I was stress tidak tentu wan!!! :-O (Note: Hubby will only do that if I was not around....if I'm around he will have nothing to do with it :-O) She looked at me with that expression of having every intention to push out what needs to be pushed out, and than because she didn't reply me (she was probably overwhelmed with the decision to hold it in or to push it out), I ask her again, but this time in a more calm tone cause I didn't want her to panic either.

And she finally replied with a nod....poor girl, she couldn't even utter a word...probably still contemplating on what to do. So again, the race to the bathroom!!! (Note, all this happen in a matter of seconds!!!) I don't think she has ever bubek in her potty before so it was kind of a new experience for her...so I had to make sure she didn't freak out...so guess what I did??? I took in a story book and read it with her....hahahaha...apparently she enjoyed that experience cause she than told her grandma about what we both did!!! Hmmm....I hope she doesn't expect me to do this all the time....OH NO! I hope I didn't instill in her the habit of reading in the toilet!!! I mean it's ok if she reads and do it at the same time and once she is done she comes out immediately!!! But I've known some people who stay in the toilet for ages!!! I'm sure they have finished doing their business but I think they get so caught up with reading that they forget to come out!!! What's with that I wonder??? Not smelly meh??? The bum not painful meh for sitting so long???

Ok, ok, I'm getting carried away with the toilet issue. I better not read to her the next time...haha...maybe just sit with her till she's done!! Anyway, after she finish bubek and stood up while I was her bum, she kept saying "Eeee....Bau....eeeee....bau" and I said "of course lah, Sera Bubek bah!" than she told me to wash it....which of course I would do lah...but...come to think about it.....sigh...we mom's do everything, don't we??? Got to get the hubby to be more pro-active in things like this....hmmm...that's an interesting thought....need a strategy for this...any suggestions???

Anyway, I'm glad she's a big girl now and am able to go to the toilet when she needs to....this enables me to cut back on the cost for pampers!!! :D And that makes me a happy person!!! Of course at night she still does use her pampers cause I couldn't be bothered to wake her up every 2 hours and ask her to go pee. Hmmm...I'm beginning to think that I'm such a horrible mum!!! Haha...sad lah me....its no wonder I'm not ready for a second one just yet.

BUT!!! I do love my little Sera a lot. She's my little sweetheart for NOW!!!

Little Seraphina in a daze....

Oklah...that's it from me!!! YEAY!!! One Goal DOWN!!! Who would have thought it would be achieved so FAST!!! That just makes me an extremely happy MOMMY!!! And a few more to go!!!

P/S. So now if you have any kelabit friends at least you can tell them you know one kelabit word!!! And that is Bubek!!! And I might as well tell you what pee-ing is in Kelabit. It's Bupak! And that ends our lesson for today!!! :P I'm learning too!!! ;) See ya!!!

2008 Goals??? Realistic??? Rainy Day!!!

Its another wonderful rainy day today!!! Wonderful cause its a weekend and I don't have to go to work!!! YEAY!!!

I think I'll go take a short nap after this. Might as well do so since my little girl is at the babysitters and I have a little ME time :D. Than hopefully I don't oversleep till 12 noon or something like that cause than I would have wasted my whole morning doing nothing....hmmm.....but isn't that the whole purpose of having ME time??? Maybe I should just sit infront of the TV and keep changing channels until I find something nice on....or I could read a book which I haven't done in ages!!! Or better still, I should learn how to use XHTML so I can re-vamp my BLOG!!! Seriously, my blog is beginning to look as old as me!!! I SO NEED HELP IN THIS SECTION!!! How do you guys do it??? Everybody's blog looks so CANGGIH!!!

Maybe I should set a goal for myself....which would probably go something like this...

  • I will learn how to use XHTML and re-vamp my blog by October this year!!! I know some of you are saying, "Wah! so long ah!!!".....aiyo! give me a break can or not??? I have child, I'm working, I hardly even have time for myself. Besides, August I'll be too busy going shopping in KL and practicing POOL for the S-Games! And than in September I'm going to KK for a family vacation, as you all would probably know by now if you have been reading my blogs :). So I think October seems pretty realistic to me...don't you??? OR Maybe there is a volunteer out there who would happily re-vamp my blog for me??? Any takers??? :P hehehe...yes, I'm trying to take advantage of you guys out there who has all the free time in the world!!! :D Can? Can???

Maybe I should read this??? But than again, I can get free tutorials online...a friend gave me a site but I have yet to check it out...

Hmmm....since I'm doing "Goals" I might as well think of having other Goals before the year is over....hmmm....lets see....

  1. Learn how to play POOL better, probably get my own cue. Master all the different kinds of shots that they have and learn how to do ENGLISH??? (if you don't understand what this means, please read the previous blog :)) :-O I guess as long as the balls spins in some kind of direction, I would consider that mastering already...hahaha :P. Btw, did I mention that we won the friendly competition the other day. I think the other group was just as nervous as us :D....yes, my nerves were seriously all over the place and in my head I was seriously running around hysterically like a "headless chicken!!!"...somehow I can picture myself as a 'headless chicken' more than a 'cockroach hilang kepala' :P. Must have been a chicken in my previous life eh???? Anyway, me and Mr.D took turns in happily missing to get the black ball into the pocket. He for the first game and me for the second...hahaha.....nerves I tell you...its the nerves...such an easy shot and we both miss..haha...if you were there sure you also cannot understand how that could have happen!!! But despite that, we still WON!!! :P Not bad hoh!!!
  2. Get a camera!!! Very important!!!

  3. Lose at least 2 more kg by the end of this year. Now I'm 43 kg, I think I'll look nicer at 41kg. I still think my thighs are a little too big for me...I want to have solid looking thighs!!! Of course not easy lah...especially since I like to eat some more...hahaha....I know, I know, some of you are probably saying "JACQ! Your crazy lah!!! If you lose a few more kg's you'll VANISH INTO THIS AIR!!!" Ok, ok, I'm over exaggerating here, you'll most probably just say "JACQ! are you CRAZY!!! You are SO SMALL already!!!" hmmm...yeah that sounds more like it...right? Well, I guess its just up to me eh and there is nothing you can do about it! :P As long as I eat well and take my daily DOUBLE-X, I'm fine :) Trust me, I'm not trying to be anorexic or anything...I'm so not that kind of person :). If you think 41 kg is too light...wait till you see how tall I am first! I'm hardly even 5 feet!!! Sad or not??? Oppssss....my apologies to those who are shorter than me (obviously not many :D, but nevertheless my sincere apologies :))...but you guys would probably know best about what I'm talking about...;)....ok, ok, I'm getting to carried away with justifying about my weight...haha...I'm sure you all get what I mean lah!

  4. Make sure that my daughter is fully potty trained by the end of this year!!! I know it can be faster than that, but I think sometimes I'm just to lazy to ask her every hour "Sera, you want to go she-she or not???" which she will always reply "don't want!". So, I'm trying to be as realistic as possible with my goals here. And realistic meaning that it fits into my personality :P.

  5. Re-decorate my room!!! I'm getting bored of it being the way it is already! Maybe that should be done just before New Years!!! Than it will be like welcoming the New Years with a changed room....with some underlying implications that my 2009 will be a changed one!!! :D In a good way lah!!! And than I'll probably have all these new years resolutions which I never really keep anyway...haha...I bet you don't too!!! :P

  6. Get my daughter a single bed cause she's getting to big for her baby cot!!! Hmmm.....that I should do later, maybe go check out Sin Siang Hai cause they are having some furniture fair or something like that. If it is still too expensive, than I'll go check out Desmond furniture or Chan furniture (how I wish they have IKEA here :(...) I'm sure she'll be so excited to have a bigger bed....than she wouldn't have to climb over me every middle of the night to sleep right in the middle of me and her dad....maybe that's her way of saying "HELLO!!! If you haven't notice, my BED is TOO SMALL for ME ALREADY!!!!"...haha...sometimes I wonder what goes on in her head :P

  7. Make Personal Christmas Cards and Christmas Gifts for my friends!!! And here is where I have to thank my dear friend Michelle (you can find her blog at my link) who will be supplying me some of her scrapbooking materials!!! Did I tell you that I love you so much dear??? Hehehe....you've always been such a great friend!!! And I really mean it!!! Ahhh....I know some of you are thinking that I'm saying that just to ambik hati!!! Nolah!!! Umm...maybe a bit lah...but seriously and honestly, she's one of my dearest childhood friend and definitely a friend for life!!! I mean it babe!!!
  8. Learn to COOK??? Yes! Yes! I should!!! Lets just hope the house doesn't burn down...touch wood, touch wood!!! Hmmm (notice I use a lot of "hmmmm's" and when I do that, its usually me telling you that I'm in the process of thinking. This is just for your information lah....probably you knew that already but I just tell you in case you didn't know....but I think you would know lah....but I just tell you lah! Sigh...I better stop before I make everyone even more confuse...very bad habit of mine )...so where was I, oh yah! Why do people always use the word "Touch Wood" ah? Especially if they don't want something bad to happen to them ah??? Maybe I can Google it and find out how it came about...wait ah....

I'm Googling...................................

Still Gooogling...............................................

Still Gooogling..................................................be patient bah.......

AHA! Here it is!!! :

It is commonly thought that knocking on wood has been a superstitious action to ward off evil throughout history involving both Pagan and Christian belief systems.[1] Some believe it has to do with knocking on the wooden cross.[2] Another explanation for this practice is the pagan belief that spirits (dryads) lived in trees.[3]By knocking on the wood of a tree while making some sort of a bold statement, the speaker could prevent the spirit from hearing him and stop the spirit from interfering[citation needed] or out of respect for the wood spirit, touching a tree indicated seeking protection from the particular spirit.[4]

However historian Steve Roud[5] finds no evidence in the British Isles for the earlier theories, suggesting that the superstitions have not been traced beyond children's games of tag of the early nineteenth century. According to Roud, the earliest documented references to "touching wood" are from 1805 and 1828 and concern chasing games like "Tiggy-touch-wood", where you are safe from being "tagged" if you "touch wood", says Roud, "'Tiggy-touch-wood" was an extremely well-known game, and it is more than likely that the phrase was passed into everyday language.

(Taken from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knocking_on_wood)

Hmmmmm....very interesting!!! I learn something new everyday!!!! COOL!!! You probably didn't know either....right??? :P

Oklah, I think my Goals should stop at 8, since it is 2008 this year and the Olympics will start on the 08/08/08...in China...so cun hoh that the Olympics will be in China, especially since 8 is THE number for them!!! SO COOL!!! Hmmm....maybe that's the reason why it was decided to be held in China eh??? You think???

Ummm...never mindlah...no need to think so much....today is Saturday and I'm also starting to talk crap and that's a sign that I should stop writing just about now!!! So, have an enjoyable weekend people!!!! Love you guys!!!

That's it from ME!!! TA!!!

Pool, Friendly Competition LATER!!!! Ahhhhh!!!!

OH GREAT! This morning I just found out that there will be a friendly pool match againts God-Knows-Who at 6pm today. The worst part of it all is that there has been emails going around explaning different kinds of shots that can be made in order to put in the ball more accurately.

Than there is this sentence ">90' angle will still be possible to 'cut' with tonnes of 'english' thrown in ..." What the hell???? English??? I always though English meant one thing and that is the english language...only today did I discover that English also means spinning the ball....God knows which direction it will spin!!! but I did ask....

Apparently if you hit the cue ball (aka white ball to me...hahaha...I just discovered that its call the cue ball) at 3' o'clock you will get the ball to spin anti-clockwise...TA-DA! That I have to try!!!

So, here I am getting more and more confuse by the minute and very much wanting to run around the room hysterically like one of my friends put it 'macam cockroach hilang kepala!!!'..that phrase is so accurate for me right now....or maybe like a headless chicken!!!!

Sigh...I am so going to screw the game up later....stressnya aku!!! I have to learn how to calm my nerves!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....(yes, I'm trying to get the nerves out of my system)...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! GREAT!!! that doesn't work either....oh well...poor Mr.D, he is stuck with me in this mixed double....sigh....this is only a friendly competition and my nerves are already all over the place. Apa lagik when the reall competition comes!!! Sure pengsan lah!!!

Aiyo....need to go do some yoga or something like that so as to control my nerves (any other suggestions??? anyone??? pleaseeeeee????).....ahhhhhhh! Ok, ok enough already....you all read my blog also probably stress out!!!

Now, how did I get myself into this again??? how? how?? HOW??? :-O

Well, fingers cross that I have all the luck in the world today!!! Sigh..I am soooo unprofessional!!! Hahaha...maybe drink beer first to come my nerves!!! YES!!! that's a good idea!!! Haha...

That's it from me!!! Will let you know how the game was tomorrow!!! Till then!!!! TA!

I have a feeling this cat is even better than me!!! Hmmm...the table must be very low for the cat to be able to do that...don't you think??? So gangster this cat...ahhhhhhhhh!!!! if my opponent looks like that later, I think I better "one-go" my beer!!! hahaha

P/S. I hope none of the guys on the team reads this, if not sure I kena lecture about staying calm!!! :-O

My little Angel ...for now....:P

Things that makes me smile and makes my day a little bit more brighter when I get back from work! (Things my daughter did this week:))

1) My daughter sticking a sticker on me and telling me to leave it there and than saying "Good Girl Mommy" :D

2) Putting my daughter in the room and leaving her there while I go to the kitchen and get her bottles and than hearing her scream "Mommy!!! Mommy!!!" and than when I open the door, she says in a teary voice " Mommy go outside I follow!!! mommy go inside I follow!!!" than expects a hug from me to confort her...which of course I give lah and than I say "Aiyo.....sorry lo" with my emphatatic face...and than she gives me a very big hug...(obviously I'm a very happy MOM!!!:P)

3) Me showing her my injured hand and she giving me a kiss on it to make it all ok!!! (I also minta manja bah....husband won't give so mintak from anak lah :P)

4) My daughter asking me all the "Why? Why? Why?" questions than when you give her an answer that she is satisfied with she says "Ohhhhhh!" and than gives you that really cheecky face which tells you that she was just giving you a hard time with the "Why's???".

5) My daughter coming home from the babysitter and singing to me "Rain Rain go away, come another day" obviously missing out the "again" and me trying to teach her the whole song by singing " Rain, rain go away, come again another day, little Johnny wants to play!" and she saying "Noooooo......little Sera wants to play!" :D

6) My daughter saying "Kakak Ashley's house big!" after leaving my friends house, than reaching home she says "Sera's house also big!" than coming even closer to the gate, she says "WOW! Sera's house BIG!!!":D Hahaha...cute leh :P

Those are just a few little things that makes me thank God for giving me such a beautiful child! Yes, she does get on my nerves sometimes but when she does things like the above, it covers for all that!!!

My litlle Seraphina,
So kepo and so cute,
A bit monstrous at times,
But she's only 2, so that's fine!
:D

This was when she was about 1 year plus....doesn't she look so cute with all the flowers...

This was during Gawai time in 2007...kepo kan...everything also she must try...:P

For now, I'm proud to say that I'm her MOMMY!!! Life is GOOD!!!

Jogathon Pictures...

It's another rainy day, good for sleeping and staying at home but not so good for coming to work. Even more now cause the office is so empty!!! Its the summer months for the expats so they are off and away for their ever so long holiday and most of them will only be back in September!!! So nice kan!!!

Sigh....what am I doing in the office again???

Anyway, I finally have some pictures from the jogathon...not showing the pictures of me reaching the finishing line, neither will I show you the pictures of me jogging cause I look sooooo OLD!!! It's SCARY!!! And I'm not even 30 yet!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Sad lah! So, here are the younger looking pictures that I found from the Jogathon pictures...at least this does me justice!!! :P

That's me and my friends...the one in red came in 2nd after me....she's good eh! Pretty some more!!! Sigh...some people just have it all :D Lucky Girl!

That's me with my prize which consist of:

1) A dvd Phillips Player 2) Return ticket for 2 to KK 3) One night stay in Parkcity Everyly which I have yet to use :P 4) Buffet lunch..hmmmm...or was it dinner for 2

Me happily smilling for the camera :P Its been ages since I won something you know! The last I did, it was probably like 8 years ago or something like that...so must smile a bit more...haha...

And that's all the winners!!! The girl on the far right came in 3rd, and the tallest guy there next to her was the champion for the Men's Open. Fifth from the right is the guy who came in 2nd and mind you he is a retiree....he is probably like 56 years old or maybe even more and he still manage to come in SECOND!!!! Can you believe that!!! This just proves one thing, and that is you are never to old to run!!! The guy next to him on his left came in 3rd. If you think he looks pretty familiar, that you are right cause he's always at Taman Bulatan!!! He owns a stall there...and pretty much the Taman Bulatan might as well be his!!! Very friendly guys!!! Good jogging partner....but if only I could keep up!!! The rest of them are winners of the Below 18 years old category and I'm not sure who they are :)

That's it from me!!! TA!

Guess what I did Yesterday!!!

Hmmm....so guess what I did yesterday!!!

I cut my hair short!!! Again!!! Well, for those of you who know me, it's a pretty common thing for me to do especially after I've had long hair for quite awhile. Reason being, I just need a change. I guess I'm just never satisfied with how I look :P I mean can you imagine having the same look for so many years??? Hmmm...maybe some of you can lah...but not me... :D At least now I look more like my daughter!!! And when she saw it yesterday she said it was nice...I'm assuming she said that cause it looks like hers...hahaha....

Anyway, here are some reasons why its good to have short hair:

  1. You get to cut down on the amount of shampoo and conditioner that you use and save that money to pay for FUEL!!!
  2. Its cooler and you don't have to tie your hair up when your feeling hot!!!
  3. You don't have to buy clips and scrunchies to tie your hair up...hmmm....then again I wasn't really all into buying those stuffs even when I had long hair :P
  4. I don't have to take ages to blow my hair and I probably won't have to collect them off the floor after I blow dry my hair...
  5. I look YOUNGER!!! Hahaha...I do!!! It's AMAZING!!! but not neccesarily prettier lah...but that's ok...when you reach my age...young is more important than being pretty...haha...
  6. I read somewhere that ladies with short hair tend to have more productivity in bed than those who have long hair....I think its because its difficult to be productive if you have long hair and its all over the place when you are doing it??? You think??? Anyway, this point is not important....please ignore it...:D
  7. I have a neck!!!! hahaha...my neck is short bah!
  8. My husband says it looks good on me...but I think he is just being nice...just like all the other husbands out there....right guys??? It's safer to say she looks great than to be honest and having to face the consequences of your honesty!!! :P True???
And that's about it!!! Can't think of anymore....can you???

To end this, here is a picture of me with my short hair!!!

I know, I know I look better with long hair...but I need a change :) It will grow back...don't worry... :D

What to do in KL???

As you all probably know by now, I'll be going to KL on the 4th - 8th of August. Reason being that I was suppose to go for this course which I found out that I couldn't go for because I'm an experienced hire....hahaa...sad lah! Well, since I couldn't go, I decided to just go for a holiday since I already bought the ticket for my husband to KL and plus its the MEGA SALE period (which of course has already started :)). Rugi kalau I tak pergi...kan???

Hmmm...the next question is, what should I do there??? What do I need to get??? Hmmmm...I better start thinking about it now....lets see.....

1) Buy a few pair of shoes for myself I sooooo need shoes....currently I only have one pair left to wear to work. The problem with me is that, unlike other girls who have many pairs of shoes, I usually just buy a pair for work and use it till it KAPUTS! I do however have 2 sports shoes and 1 pair of slippers....the rest of the shoes that I have piled up at home are not usable anymore....maybe I should start throwing them away. The other day I found one of my long lost shoe, but I only found the right side of it, I have no idea where the other side is...sigh...even my shoes can go missing....don't think anyone stole it, cause if they did, they would have taken both instead of just one...right? Probably my dog has it hidden underground somewhere :P

2) Buy working clothes This I seriously need. Some of my clothes dates back to 1998 to 2000. Don't ask me why....I also don't know. I guess I just hardly go shopping for working clothes. Most of the time if I buy clothes its usually a t-shirt or something like that. I rarely go out of my way to buy working clothes. So this time round to KL, I have to go buy a few...

3) Go have Nandos I soooooooo love Nandos....I wish they had them in Miri....BUT...I heard they might be coming to Miri....not sure when but I heard lah...don't know how true it is....but I'm hoping for the best :P. Every year I go to KL I have my fill of Nandos....and that means I have them like at least 3 times in a period of 5 days!!! I can't help it, it's just soooo YUMMY!!!

4) Go to Ikea Now going to Ikea is just a tradition....hahaha....every year I go to KL I must go to Ikea....even if I don't buy anything....usually I do lah....I buy small small stuffs...they are just so colourful and simply irresitable :P. So IKEA is a must!!! Again, I think they should open one in Miri!!!

5) Go to Curve I'm thinking of making gifts for people this year for Christmas so its more personal...so I need to go there to get some scrapbooking stuffs....I honestly have no idea where the shop is in Curve but I heard it is in there....anybody have any ideas???

6) Go check out the Seraphina shop This is in Curve right? Well have to go check it out....should be an interesting girlie shop :) Maybe I can get something for Seraphina there....

7) Go have Nandos again Hahaha....yes....now you can understand how much I love Nandos :P

8) Go to One Utama Well, I haven't been there since it expanded. Heard its huge!!! The last time I went with a friend, we couldn't find a parking space. I hope I don't get lost...if you don't see me writing any blogs after the 9th August....get someone to look for me :P It's either I'm seriously lost or I just don't want to come out from that place....:D. Sakai bah me!!!

9) Buy a camera Need a nice compact one so I can bring it around with me wherever I go and have pictures for my blog :D Unlike now....always have to wait for people to give me pictures :) Btw, where do they sale cheap camera's in KL???

10) Buy whatever that's super cheap that I might not need but want!!! If it is a bargain its a bargain...rugi me kalau tak beli :P Sometimes we just have to be spontaneous in buying things......right???

11) Go to Bintang Walk Would be ridiculous if I didn't go there right??? They usually have the super cheap stuffs there....Maybe I could get the camera there??? Would it be cheap there???

So, I think that's it....I hope I get to do every single one of them in 4 days!!! :D Anything else I should do there that would make my trip to KL more exciting??? Any suggestions???

Using Chopsticks at 2.5 Years Old???

Last night while we were having dinner (we had Mee goreng) infront of the tv. My daughter did something pretty amazing. I stopped to talk to my mother-in-law who was behind me, and out of the blue my daughter just took the chopstick right out of my hand and started using it to eat her mee. We all of course terkejuat lah! Hahaha...who would have guessed that she knew how to use it....

Look at that, angkat the bowl lagi tu! Mom and dad also kalah!!! That must be her chinese blood instinct!!! :D At least now I know she got a bit of my blood :P She's definitely a CHIBIT (Chinese Kelabit). Note: She had rice before that so you can see the rice near her mouth :P

TA-DA!!!

Obviously I must have been missing out on something cause I sure didn't know she knew how to use them at all. Sigh....and I call myself her mother....

I'm proud of her though cause she's only 2.5 years old....so, "Way To Go, SERA!!! You're SO CLEVER!!!"

She sure is one independant kid!!!

Well, you can't blame me for wanting to show her off :P

Ummmm.....of course if your child is younger than mine and knows how to use the chopstick than you should be even prouder....:P

Ok! that's it from me!!!

Pool!!! Cue???

Hello People!!! Its Monday....a day to sit around and do nothing in the office because the body has yet to start functioning....:P Unfortunately this Monday I have to bang my head against the wall a few times this morning to get it to start-up quickly cause I have loads of work to complete by the end of this day. But!!! despite all that, I wanted to write something in my blog today. I have to cause if not I won't have time for myself the whole day....so that's why I on now :P. For the love of the people who reads my blog :P.

Anyway my blog today is about my decision to play Pool during the shell games. Sigh...I really wanted to play netball but went to the doctor last Thursday and she told me I better not strain my ankle/feet anymore for the time being...haha...actually I think I kinda fractured my feet cause it has a hard bump now on it which is not so obvious but looks out of place. So bye bye netball and hello Pool!!! Selection was last Friday and i got selected...not bad eh??? Haha...thought I wouldn't but am glad I am cause I soooo wanted to be in the games :D. Its fun bah...cause you make new friends and people around you are just so happy :D. I like happy people.....cause it makes me happy too!!!

Though I have so much love for netball, well, Pool isn't all that bad too, only problem is that if I'm nervous the balls just don't go the way I want it too....hahaha...so I think I better start meditating to keep my cool!!! Any tips on how to play better???? Anyone???

The other thing is, I was thinking of getting a pool cue but I takut people say "Wah! this girl so professional one!!!" and than skali play, play like CRAP...hahaha....it kinda puts more pressure on me just to have my own cue....does anybody else feel like that??? Or is it just me???? Than again, I am weird, so it could probably just be me :P. BUT! if I were to get a cue in the future, what would be the best cue to get ah??? Obviously I am one very unprofessional pool player :P. Anyway, suggestions would be great :D.

Thanks People!!!

Oklah...that's it from me!!!

How to Get a Baby BOY or a Baby GIRL!!!

Ok...here I am...finally have some time to write. Now about the Jogathon, I have yet to get the pictures but I WON!!!! I came in first and now I have a new DVD player, a return ticket to KK for 2, a night stay at Parkcity Everly and Buffet for 2 also at Parkcity Everly :D. My joggin paid off!!! Anyway, that's not today's topic. I will talk more about that when I get the pictures of me winning the prize!!!

Today I'm going to talk about something very interesting that I read from Karen Cheng's blog. A friend actually introduced that blog to me this morning, you can check it out whenever you are free:

http://karencheng.com.au/

The particular blog that she my friend wanted me to check out was this one:

http://www.karencheng.com.au/2008/01/11/making-baby-3-part-13-the-chinese-gender-chart/

What's interesting about this one, is that it tells you whether you'll be having a boy or a girl by putting your age (chinese age) and month together. My friend did mention to me that its very accurate. She said her's is so true and she really did have a boy. So, I also kepo-kepo wanted to see whether it was accurate or not lah! You know me!

So this was our conversation after I saw the chart:

ME : mine tidak ngam leh

FRIEND : isit??

ME : 28 years old in March - Male (obviously mine is a girl, but people say look like boy lah....hmmm...makes me wonder...)

FRIEND: but if u add 2, it'll be accurate...ehh, salah tgk oso...M oso

ME: hahaha

ME: maybe because my husband not chinese eh! hahahaha, urs chinese bah, that's why cun!

FRIEND: hehe, tat means not so accurate oso la, i think (another friends name) oso ever said that hers not cun

ME: probably kelabits have different calender, eh...hahaha (you think??? yes, yes, its quite obvious that I was talking crap already...:P)

FRIEND: hahaha (well, thank God she laughed at it too...:P...such a good supportive friend I have!!! She always laughs at my joke, even if its not funny...:D thanks babe...I love you heaps!!!)

So to conclude, deciding on what gender your baby is, is not easy...haha....unless you follow some ovulation method, which I read somewhere that might work...hmmm...let me look it up...

Can't seem to find it but this is something which fits into the ovulation method and the gender of your baby.

The baby's sex was studied in 3658 births to Jewish women who observed the orthodox ritual of sexual separation each month and who resumed intercourse within two days of ovulation. The proportion of male babies was significantly higher. In the offspring of women who resumed intercourse two days after ovulation. This proportion tended to be lower on or near the day of ovulation than on the previous one or two days. These results, which were consistent in different demographic subgroups, demonstrate that insemination on different days of the menstrual cycle does lead to variations in sex ratio.

To simplify this, it means that:

Within 2 days of Ovulation - higher chances of getting a boy, because the boy sperms swims faster and gets tired faster. So if the egg is closer to the womb, it can reach first (YEAY!!! This one is a sprinter!!!)

On the other hand, if it is two days after ovulation, there is a higher chance of getting a girl, becuase the girl sperm takes her time and has better stamina, and after the boy sperm kaputs, the girl sperm takes over the race to the egg and WINS!!! (YEAY!!! Long distance runner lah this one!!!)

So, if you want to try to have a BOY or a GIRL, than first of all, make sure you are MARRIED!!! After that, Go Ahead saja lah!!! Have FUN!!!!

This is a picture of my little girl when she was first born...so pink and cute leh :P...haha...again, a very bias observation :P

MIRI Supermarkets Going GREEN!!!

Sorry, just another short blog before I run out to get my coffee....

I read in yesterday's newspaper that "Supermarkets to go ‘green’ come August" in MIRI!!! We should be so proud of ourselves to be the first one in Sarawak to do so!!! I think lah....hahaha. Anywhere else in Sarawak doing it??? Not that I have heard off :D So YEAY to MIRI!!!! Soft opening is on July 11th...so try and support this....its a very good move to SAVE OUR PLANET EARTH....

Anyway, here is part of the article (taken from Borneo Post - 3rd July 2008) that I would like to highlight to you all:

As a start, the participating outlets will allocate special counters for shoppers who bring along own shopping bags to place their purchase (I guess that it is a good start!!! and you can buy those bags that says "I'm not a Plastic Bag"...hehehe....I think those bags are really cool....my sister has one and she bought hers from brunei...I'm sure you can get them in Miri but I'm not to sure where and I'm not sure whether it's original or not :P). Some outlets will distribute biodegradable bags and recyclable shopping bags to their shoppers, he said (Sounds good to me!!! Better than the first part, where they most probably will still use plastic bags).

Shoppers are encouraged to bring along their own bags (preferably cloth bag) or containers to place the food bought during the campaign,” (This is DEFINITELY a BETTER thing to do!!! So, go get your own bags!!! :D) Wee said, although admitting that it would be quite difficult for shoppers and business outlets to quickly adjust to the new concept. (It will definitely be DIFFICULT, nothing starts off easy...it always takes time to get into the habit of doing the right thing, it wasn't easy for us to move into the IT era...but we succeeded...now we are moving to the GREEN era...and I'm sure with everybody's help and support, we will succeed too!!!)

I'm not even sure whether this one is original or not....hahaha....any idea how to identify if it is??? Nowadays too many fake stuff already :P

YEAY!!! TO MIRI AGAIN!!! And be supportive OK!!! Especially if you want Miri to remain and healthy place to live in!!! And STOP BURNING STUFFS ALREADY!!! WE DON'T LIKE HAZE!!! And its BAD FOR OUR REPUTATION especially when we have TOURIST visiting US!

Oklah...enough from me, like mengamok saja me....hahaha...but I love MIRI that's why I'm like that lah...:P....I know you Mirian's love Miri just as much as I do...so help out, OK! :D

TA! Better go get my coffee now...headache not getting any better :D (and yes, I can still smile with a headache, if anybody is asking :))

My LOVE for Coffee!!!

Today I have a headache...probably because I drank ice lemon tea and not coffee this morning...sigh....I swear I'm addicted to coffee.....not a heavy drinker but 'a once a day drinker'...or more like 'a once a day morning drinker'.

You see, in the pass couple of months, I've always wondered why is it that I usually get headache during the weekends (note, I usually don't drink coffee during the weekend).....I always thought it had something to do with my extremely cute yet hyper little monster at home....haha...but than there was this one sunday where I was tired so during breakfast I opt for coffee instead of the usual liang teh that me, my husband, and my little Sera usually have. Surprisingly, I noted that throughout the day I was headacheless....that's when I realise that I have it bad for coffee...I'm not a heavy drinker though but I think my body has gotten so use to starting the day off with coffee...so now I have it everyday accept this morning....hahaha....probably I just wanted to check whether this theory works or not...haha....so now I'm having a headache and a few minutes time I'm going to go to coffee bean and grab my self a cafe latte....yum yum....

Anyway, just some additional information....today I hit 3000 on my counter in this blog!!! How cool is that!!! And its all because of you all!!! Thanks guys!!!!

Btw, the jogathon is tomorrow...wish me luck!!! My daughter will be checking-in at the babysitters house today to stay over night cause I have to wake up way too early to be able to send her. If I bring her along, I will not be able to jog. I think she enjoys staying over there cause she has so many cousins there....:D

Anyway (yeah, I know, I tend to use this word a lot :P, I think its the best conecting word that has ever exist in the english language :P) feel free to drop by if you want to....it does however start pretty early where most of you would probably be very much tuck in bed and still in dreamland after a happening night out :P. I'll be going to KRP again tonight to compete in pool with the guys. Which for everyone's info, I never win....hahaha....usually out in the first round :P....I pretty much suck at it...hahaha...oh well...life goes on!!!

Ta for now!!! Going to go get my COFFEE!!! :D

Jogarthon this Saturday

So yah, the jogarthon is in 3 days time and my ankle is not at its best yet :(. Yesterday I went jogging and when I got back I took out my ankle guard and notice another bruise near my ankle area.....sigh...its been ages since I joined a jogarthon so I was really looking forward to this. Got to find out wherther I can still do that hill at Tanjong that I use to do when I was in secondary school...sigh..its been many years already.

Now if only my ankle will co-operate and don't quit on me this Saturday. By the way, anybody interested to join the Jogathon??? Its this Saturday at Pusat Belia and you have to be there by 6am....hmmm...I hope it doesn't rain and I hope I wake up!!! :P Apparently we have a lot of people who have collected money in their jogathon cards and are entitled to run but they all do not one to do so. So if you want to run, let me know, I can get you a number :)

Its the Catholic Church jogathon....feel free to come. Besides that, there will be a mega draw as well during that day and you get to win a Toshiba LCD TV or a laptop if you are the second prize winner in the mega draw. The third prize is a deep freezer.....I for once will have no idea what to do with that if I do win it in the draw :P

There will be FOOD as well!!!! Yum Yum!!! Oklah...that's it from me....take care guys!!!
