Me Time!!!

Today I'm on leave and I'm going to have some ME-TIME!!! I've planned so many things in my head yesterday but I doubt I'm going to do them all today. Here's my list of what I'm going to do:

8.00am : Go jogging at Taman Bulatan but not possible due to haze...might die inhaling all that smoke! So second option, go to the Gym instead.

9.30am : Go for a hair wash

10.30am : Go for a body massage

11.30am : Go for lunch with Mom and Robin

1.00pm : Go home and nap

2.00pm : Go shopping for sunglasses and go windown shopping

4.00pm : Relax and watch TV

5.00pm : Go play Netball

6.30pm : Pick my daughter up from the babysitter

END of ME-TIME....

So as you can see I basically have the whole day plan! But since it's 9.45am now and I have yet to go to the gym....I think quite a number of the things on the list will not be done. Now my ME-TIME goes like this:

9.30am : Write something on my blog cause I promise to do it once every two days :P

10.00am : Get myself to the gym

11.30am : Come home and shower and wash my hair myself

12.00noon : Lunch with Mom and Robin

1.30pm : Go home and rest a bit

2.00pm : Go sunglasses shopping and window shopping

4.00pm : Come home and rest a bit

5.00pm : Go play netball

(I'm beggining to wonder whether I need all this exercise...hmmm...got to go check my weight....hold on ah......ok back...I'm 45.5kg. Not too bad lah for my height :P)

6.30pm : Go pick my daughter

END of ME-TIME :D By the way, for married ladies out there, it's good to have Me-Time and love yourself. It pretty difficult to love the people around you if you don't love yourself first. So, give yourself time to be pampered and to do whatever you like to do before you burn yourself out! Alright???

Tomorrow is a public holiday and my daughter will be around so it'll be HER-TIME this while weekend :P. Though tomorrow will be me and my hubby's 5 years of being married!!! Who would have guessed that we've managed to pull through!!! Very tough but we did it nevertheless! Now another 5 years more to aim at :P.

Alright, that's it from me.....got to keep to my schedule before I have to change it again. Have a good day ahead everyone and don't forget to exercise to stay healthy ;)

OMG!!! It's been a month!!!

OMG!!! it's been a month since I wrote anything in my blog. You have no idea how busy I have been with my work picking up speed at this time of the year and my daughter getting HFMD!!! Haha....but all is good and I've decided to spend a few minutes updating you all on what has been going on in my life and what I intend to do with it....

What has happen:

1) My daughters HFMD is getting better and I think she has the mild one cause she's still as active as ever. The health ministry came over to the house to spray the toilet with what smells like Clorox, which I think is a really really good thing cause it shows that they care :D

Here she hasn't gotten her ears pierced yet :D

2) My daughter got her ears pierced a few week back!!! WOOHOO!!! I think it was on the 1st April. Hahaha....well she wanted to get it pierced and insisted on it, so we went to the gold smith and got both ears pierced at the same time. That had to be done, if not, she'll just have one of hers ears pierce. Obviously she had no clue that piercing her ears would hurt that much, so after they pierced it (at that time she had her eyes close) she cried very very loud!!! :P So, I had to get her a pair of socks to make her happy. Well, she did stop crying after that to ask me why they kepit her ears....haha...poor girl. But now she's blissfully happy with ther heart shape earrings :P.

3) I'm now addicted to watching "The biggest loser" on Hallmark at 7pm everyday. Even "American Idol" is not interesting anymore. It's so cool to see all the fat people lose all those fat that they have accumulated for so many years. And just look at them during the finale!!! They look healthy, fit, muscular, handsome/pretty/sexy, and they even have their self confidence back! It's amazing!!! This just proves that anyone can lose weight if they put their mind to it. Agree??? Don't ever tell yourself that it is impossible...cause if this people can do it, I'm sure you can too!!!

What I intend to do:

1) Start writing my blog once every two days....hahaha....I know I keep saying something along this line, but serisouly I'm going to do it! Just check back in two days time!!!

2) I'm going to work on having a closer relationship with God/Our Heavenly Father.

3) I'm going to start building muscles, but not to get big but just to tone up. Need to start getting fit again cause I seem to have been neglecting it for two weeks now. First week cause I was MS-ing and second week cause my daughter had HFMD. Very valid excuses to not exercise but nevertheless....I have to find away to fit exercise into my schedule. Started yesterday and got my daughter to do some exercise with me too....haha...its never to early to start eh??? :P Plus the fact that watching "The biggest loser" and seeing those super fit trainers, make me one to be as fit as them....hahaha...my motivation at the moment :P.

4) Pray very hard that I will have a miracle baby :D You all pray for me also ok?

5) Get my mom to exercise!!! Sometimes I feel like I take my mom for granted. I guess its about time I spend more time with her by bringing her to taman bulatan for her walk. She should, to keep herself healthy so that she can be around for my second miracle child ;).

6) Get my sister a pair of Asic shoes since they are having the 50% shoe sale at Lea. Did you know that asics shoes are fantastic for exercising!!! They are really good quality. You can trust me on that :D.

And I guess that's it! So stay tune and see you in two days!!! Don't forget, stay healthy and start exercising today!!! :D

If you KEEP YOUR LIGHTS ON, your VOTING for GLOBAL WARMING, that's just plain EVIL!!!

So its the first time in Malaysian History that we will be participating in this Earth Day - Earth Hour thing. I seriously wonder how many of us are going to take this seriously.

I mean Malaysians are not exactly very fantastic in helping out with the Environment in general. Don't get me wrong....I'm a Malaysian too....but let me give you a few examples:

1. We still use plastic bags despite having seen so many posters around that say "Say 'NO' to Plastic Bags".
2. I still see people throwing rubbish out of their cars!!! Please lah, if you are going to throw it out of your car, at least take note of the car behind you!!! BUT, please lah, stay clean, can or not! Put your rubbish in a proper dustbin!!! If not, what's the whole point of having a dustbin!!!You might as well just throw away your dustbin as well!!! yes, I'm being sarcastic here...sorry...emotions getting in my way...haha...but seriously, throw the rubbish in the dustbin please!
3. And what's with Burning things behind your back yard??? Not only are you polluting the environment, your also killing yourself and your neighbours with the smoke!!! Of course, it works for getting rid of the mosquitoes but its seriously terrible for the environment.

This are just a few...I don't think I need to elaborate more...

So you see, it would be nice for once that we as Malaysian take our environment seriously. Why not start with EARTH HOUR and VOTE EARTH by switching off your lights from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. It's only an hour...I seriously don't think you will die by not having the lights on for one hour!!! There are a few things you could do in that hour, for example:

1. You could have candle light dinner and invite your friends over like my dear friend Corriena is doing. Good on you dear!!!
2. You could sit outside and look at the stars!!! But don't forget the mosquito coil thingy, if not you'll be eaten alive by them.
3. You could meditate and have your quite time with the Lord :). Perfect time to let him know how thankful you are for all that he has done for you!
4. You could walk up and down your lane to get some well deserve exercise...haha...good bah, you get to save the environment by switching off the lights and keep yourself healthy at the same time!

And I guess that there are many more things you could think up and do, so why not join in? I'm hoping you all will.

And don't just off the lights lah...don't take it so literal when they say 'Switch Off the Lights'. Please also switch off the air-con and the tv, because they sure as hell take up a lot of electricity as well!!!

So what say you all??? Vote lah!!! :D

Maybe we should the government should get those people who usually drives around in a truck or van collecting newspaper, who says "Old Newspaper!!!!, Old Newspaper!!!" and make them they go around at 8.20pm to 8.30pm saying "Support Earth Hour!!! Switch OFF your LIGHTS NOW!!!" instead!!! And also say it in Malay "Sokong Sejam Bumi, TUTUP LAMPU SEKARANG!!!"....hahahaha...that's just seriously bad translation!!!

Oklah that's it from me!!! And to sign off:

"VOTE EARTH!!!" If you keep on your lights, that's just saying that you're VOTING for GLOBAL WARMING!!! And that's EVIL!!! :P

Sorry guys, I know its been like forever since I wrote on my blog. Its not easy being a working mom...:P Yes, that's just very bad excuse. Its just that I've been very very busy with work that its ridiculous. I finally settled most of the stuff so I'm now here writing in my blog.

A lot of things have happen since the last time I wrote. For example, I've turned 30, and I'm not even sure how to feel about it.....hahaha....I suppose its just a number...don't you think. I swear I still look like I'm 25...haha....that's just me trying to make myself happy :D.

Besides that, I've dressed up as Tinker Bell during my anual dinner, cause the theme was Disney!!! I think I look very cute in the outfit...hahaha... I mintak puji!!! Well, judge for yourself, picture is as below :D. It was a pretty enjoyable night and our team did a singing performance where we sang and dance to 'Bare Neccesities' by Jungle Book and 'Mercy' by Duffy. I think after about 5 practices, we somehow manage to pull through and did pretty well. We even won for Best Performace!!! For our winnings, we won RM500, which we have decided to use it for a BBQ at PBC. A big thanks to the musicians, who are my colleagues and my hubby ;). I always got to give my hubby credit cause I think he's a really good guitarist!!! Overall it was a good night since I got to bring her a RM10 Parkson voucher which I used to buy my daughter a Barbie Doll Colouring Set kit :). She loves it and I do to...and we both get to colour, which I enjoy as well since I'm a child at heart ;). Hubby enjoys it too :P. So it's pretty much a win-win situation!!! :D I also brought back a Body Shop gift for winning 3rd in best dress and a manual massage thingy with a towel from Aussino from a game. Didn't win the 32 inch Flat Screen LCD TV...*sniff**sniff*...but that's oklah....at least I brought back something than nothing....true or not??? :P

The musicians....my hubby with the guitar, my colleague with the banjo....another collegue at the far end playing the bongos (small version of it) and another colleague which can't be seen in here playing the basso (I think that is what you call it, its the really really huge Guitar that plays very deep chords).

That's me with the winners of the best dress. The one on the right is Pocahontas, she won the 1st prize!!! And the one on the left is the Mermaid, and she won 2nd prize!!! Not sure why I'm in the middle, since I won 3rd prize :P

As for the complaints about being married in my few previous blogs....well, its improving :). I still love the hubby and he's definitely working hard at this marriage...and that makes me happy....I love you sweetheart, if you are reading this :D.

Either than that, its EARTH DAY tomorrow!!! And don't forget the EARTH HOUR from 8.30pm to 9.30 pm!!! Hmmm...I think I should write this in another blog. This particular one deserves its own blog.

The History of "F*** You" - Very Interesting Indeed!

Well, now......here's something I never knew before, and now that I know it, I feel compelled to send it on to my more intelligent friends in the hope that they, too, will feel edified.

Isn't history more fun when you know something about it?

Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future.

This famous English longbow was made of the native English 'Yew' tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew").

Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew!

Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute! It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as "giving the bird."

It is still an appropriate salute to the french Today. And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing.

Marriage, Love? Hate??...Hmmm...Why Do We Get Married Again???

Why do people get married again???

One moment you love your other half and the next moment you hate your other half...and than out of nowhere he does something nice and you fall in love all over again....

On the 13th of November I went hunting for a nice card for my hubby, and the only place to get that in Miri would be at 'Moments' which is part of 'Toysworld'. There were so many cards but none of them suited what I wanted. There were cards that said:

1) I love you more and more each year

2) You're my best friend

3) You understand me so well

4) We have a love that will last forever

But seriously, at that point of time I couldn't even get myself to get a card with those words on it. I do love him but I don't think its more and more each year. Its more like the opposite...less and less.

He's my hubby and therefore pretty much impossible to be my best friend cause every time we talk about something serious, he has his own opinion and I have mine and we start arguing. Best friends always back each other up...don't you think? I know my best friend would :)

I know he doesn't understand me so well....if he did we wouldn't be getting on each others nerves right?

As for having a love that will last forever...hell "no!!!"...we don't have a love that will last forever...we work extremely hard at staying together with lots and lots of 'sorrys' and we try very hard to keep the love alive. Don't you think?

I guess they are some couples who are superly happy being together and I do envy them...but I think most of us out there feels the same way like I do, one time or another....

So you can guess how hard it was for me to get a card for the hubby....I looked and looked and looked and I even went to the sales lady and ask her "Is that all the cards you have???" and she gave me a puzzled look and said "yes". So obviously I went back to the V-Day card section to find something that was less lovey-dovey as the above.

By some luck I found a card that says something like this (its not the exact words but you get the idea), on the front cover is says, "I got this card cause it reminds me of you", than you have to open the card from the left and not from the normal right, than you actually have to turn the card upside down to read it, and it says inside "see! it even has a mind of its own, just like you", then it also says "Happy Valentines Day". It was a cute card with a dog in the front. When i found that card, I was so happy...at least I could give him a card that would be honest. I did also write "Despite all that we have gone through, I still love you" inside the card to complete the card.

Well, after buying that card, it just made me realise even more how I feel towards my husband. I love him but it seems to be slowly fading away. We seem to be living two lives separately, he in his world and me in mine, and once in awhile we do sit together to talk, like for 5 minutes and that's it. Its only been 5 years and the marriage seems to be fading into thin air. Its really sad when I think about it. We seem to be taking each other for granted...big time!!!

Anyway, last night we had a short talk with each other and we both admit that our marriage doesn't seem to be turning out the way we expected it to, when we first got married. I guess most people wouldn't...haha..if we knew, we probably wouldn't be married and most people probably won't be too. Of course 3% would probably be married cause they are superly happily married!!! I know a few!!! Lucky them!!! :P

After last night, we both decided to put more effort into our marriage and into loving each other again. We do still love each other after all and we both believe that its worth fighting for and that going our separates ways is never an option. Don't get me wrong, I do at times think of leaving him but the better side of me gets the better of me and I come to my senses. I did after all say in my wedding vows "to love him, for better or for worst". Its so damn hard, but I've got to try and he has to too. So now we are both back to basics and giving each other kisses and hugs before I go to work and when I come back. Wish us all the best!!! I know we can do it and we've got to stick to what God says "What God has united, Man must not divide!"
